Western’s President, David Kronwald, is the backbone of the company. After 30 years of successfully owning and operating a large chain of restaurants with his family, he decided to branch into the venture of designing food-service operations and selling food-service equipment. He has designed and consulted on commercial kitchens since 1996, with his lengthy prior stint in restaurant kitchens giving him an edge in the industry.
Ron Hedberg is David’s long-time friend and mentor, and helped start Western Foodservice Equipment and Design. Ron’s success and reputation for providing food service equipment and unique designs was evident during the late 1900’s with such chains as Big Four Restaurants, Chart House, TGI Friday’s, Fish Market Restaurants, and many others.
Western was built on honesty, integrity, and high morals; which is still the focus of the company today.
